Objectives of this role


We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Branch Fabrication Manager to lead daily operations, drive production performance, and ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for meeting production timeline, managing fabrication staff, and improving processes.


This is an exempt leadership position, ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, data-driven, and motivated to lead in a fast-paced manufacturing/fabrication setting. The right candidate will bring strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills – and thrive in a culture focused on operational excellence and cost control.


Responsibilities


Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. Drive performance metrics aligned with company goals.
  • Ensure cost performance gaps are identified, action plans are developed, and resources are properly allocated
  • Follow the escalation process to address and respond to abnormalities. Notify the team and orchestrate a plan for potential outages that affect the entire operation
  • Partner with internal departments to optimize production scheduling. Analyze forecast to determine future production and downtime needs

Supply Chain & Logistics:

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain activities including procurement, inventory control, logistics, and vendor management to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Champion Lean principles to eliminate waste, reduce variability, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with the leadership, technical, and operations teams to effectively drive process improvements
  • Enforcing all departmental processes and driving the continual improvement of the processes.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams across production, quality, logistics, and support functions. Foster a culture of accountability and performance.
  • Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • Deliver effective change leadership to drive business changes while minimizing people impact

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Ensure high levels of customer service through on-time delivery, product quality, and responsiveness to client needs.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures


Required skills and qualifications

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial operations role, with 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven P&L management experience in a branch or facility setting.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and production planning.
  • Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems
  • Strong computer skills: including Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with databases and data analysis
  • Process knowledge with an understanding of customer requirements and basic business practices
  • Must be able to drive results and work independently and effectively in a team setting
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Build, maintain, and effectively communicate a clear vision for success.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills, managerial courage, and the ability to lead and manage change.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in communication (verbal and written), problem-solving, decision-making, and long-range planning.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities, delegate tasks appropriately, and motivate team members to achieve goals.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization

Preferred skills and qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt ; Lean certification strongly preferred.
  • Preferably 2-3 years of continuous improvement (CI), or similar experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fabrication of Rigging experience, preferred
