Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This position involves working closely with children, educators, and parents to create a positive learning environment that fosters personal growth and academic success.
Responsibilities
- Provide counseling to students individually or in small groups as needed
- Collaborate with staff to implement strategies and interventions that benefit students
- Consult with parents, teachers, administrators and other relevant people to enhance their work with students
- Serve as a member of the administrative leadership team and demonstrate leadership in school initiatives
- Plan and coordinate monthly Social Emotional Learning classes (preK-8th)
- Collaborate with outside mental health agencies
- Organize and facilitate school wide programs
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in guidance counseling, social work, or psychology with valid Kentucky certification and/or appropriate credentials.
- Two (2) years or more of classroom teaching preferred
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to innovate, think creatively and critically, and actively find solutions to new and familiar challenges

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
