Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct valid and reliable assessments for the purpose of identifying student’s eligibility for special education services.
• Schedule and run REED/MET/IEP Meetings
• Lead data-based decision making and accountability meetings via the MTSS and PBIS initiatives and implement evidence-based instructional strategies that will improve student performance
• Participate in Child-Find
• Keep building administrators up-to-date on special education procedures and of staff, parent, and student needs
• Intervene with students experiencing behavioral difficulties
• Conduct risk assessments
• Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration among families, teachers, community agencies, or others
• Demonstrate knowledge of universal screening to identify students in need of instructional and behavioral support services
• Demonstrate knowledge of risk and protective factors related to problems such as school drop- out, truancy, bullying, youth suicide, and school violence
• Consider individual differences, strengths, backgrounds, and needs in the design, implementation, and evaluation of all services
Knowledgeable of current ethical and professional standards and legal regulations

Education and/or Experience:

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology
• Candidates must hold a valid and current MDE issued School Psychologist Certificate (preferred) or an MDE issued Preliminary School Psychologist Certificate

Salary/Benefits:

• Per Master Contract $53,834.00 (Step 1)
• Full FTE / Excellent medical, dental, vision plan
