Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct valid and reliable assessments for the purpose of identifying student’s eligibility for special education services.
- Schedule and run REED/MET/IEP Meetings
- Lead data-based decision making and accountability meetings via the MTSS and PBIS initiatives and implement evidence-based instructional strategies that will improve student performance
- Participate in Child-Find
- Keep building administrators up-to-date on special education procedures and of staff, parent, and student needs
- Intervene with students experiencing behavioral difficulties
- Conduct risk assessments
- Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration among families, teachers, community agencies, or others
- Demonstrate knowledge of universal screening to identify students in need of instructional and behavioral support services
- Demonstrate knowledge of risk and protective factors related to problems such as school drop- out, truancy, bullying, youth suicide, and school violence
- Consider individual differences, strengths, backgrounds, and needs in the design, implementation, and evaluation of all services Knowledgeable of current ethical and professional standards and legal regulations
Education and/or Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology
- Candidates must hold a valid and current MDE issued School Psychologist Certificate (preferred) or an MDE issued Preliminary School Psychologist Certificate
Salary/Benefits:
- Per Master Contract $53,834.00 (Step 1)
- Full FTE / Excellent medical, dental, vision plan Beginning date – Fall 2025
