Essential Functions and Job Duties:
· To provide psychopharmacological treatment to patients under supervision from a psychiatrist.
· Formulates independent psychosocial diagnosis and carries out highly skilled clinical treatments with a wide variety of patients using a flexible array of treatment techniques.
· Offers skilled clinical consultation to community care-taking agencies, helping these agencies respond in the most therapeutic manner to their clientele; interprets the social, emotional, and economic aspects of community situations for total integrated case planning.
· Performs intakes for potential cases.
· Serve as clinician-on-duty on a rotational basis.
· Performs at a highly skilled clinical level in crisis intervention.
· Contributes to clinical interdisciplinary training seminars.
· Participates in regular team meetings.
· Participates in professional continuing education program.
· Supervision received under the supervision of Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor.
· Supervision exercised over interns and graduate students.
Qualifications:
· Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin OR Cantonese)
· Thorough knowledge of human growth and development
· Knowledge of the social, emotional, and experiential causes of social dysfunctions
· Knowledge of the principles and practices of DSM-5
· Knowledge of the casework treatment process and interviewing techniques
· Knowledge of community resources as related to implementing treatment plans
· Knowledge of special treatment modalities, including family and group therapy
· Knowledge of the methods and techniques of clinical social work
· Ability to conceptualize and independently implement treatment plans as they develop from full psychosocial diagnoses
· Effectively formulate psychosocial diagnoses
· Ability to establish and sustain therapeutic relationships
· Ability to independently evaluate crisis situations and to respond with appropriate social work therapeutic intervention
· Ability to work collaboratively with other mental health/health disciplines
· Ability to interpret and coordinate treatment plans among a variety of human services personnel
· Ability to provide community mental health/social services consultation to community agencies
Education & Experience:
· Registered nurse practitioner, licensed by Massachusetts. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
· One to three years of nursing experience in an outpatient environment. Bilingual in Asian
· Languages strongly preferred (Cantonese, Mandarin, and/or Vietnamese)
