Westlake Village Counseling and Neurofeedback Center is a mental health and wellness clinic, specializing in integrative approaches to healing, including neurofeedback, psychotherapy, EMDR and other somatic modalities. We support clients of all ages with anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress management, insomnia, attention problems, memory issues, spectrum disorders, and addictions, using brain-based approaches to promote healing. We are currently looking for a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) who is tech-savvy and excited to split time working in the growing field of neurofeedback and brain-based therapy. This is a unique opportunity for a clinician who enjoys hands-on technology, wants to diversify their therapeutic skills, and is passionate about supportive client care. Whether you are an experienced clinician or just getting started, we will provide you with paid training and support. Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Associate Therapist to join our team. You must have your AMFT number with the BBS. In this role, you work with individuals, couples, and families to provide counseling and support in various areas of mental health. In addition, you will also use your clinical psychology knowledge to provide neurofeedback therapy. We will train you how to use the equipment, track data, and support client needs. You will also learn how to do QEEG brain-mapping. If you have a passion for helping others and a strong background in treatment planning, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct intakes with clients
• Provide counseling and support for a wide range of mental health issues
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques
• Assess client needs and develop personalized treatment plans
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records using EMR
• Stay current on developments in the field of family therapy through ongoing professional development
• Set up and operate neurofeedback equipment (e.g. Myndlift, BrainMaster)
• Maintain a clean, calm, organized, and professional environment
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting on equipment when called for
• Attend weekly supervision
• Maintain Licensure

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy or licensed clinical social worker
• Licensed as an AMFT in CA with an up-to-date BBS number
• Familiarity with ICD-9 coding
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to collect and analyze data to inform treatment decisions
• Experience in providing PTSD care, child and family counseling, and clinical counseling
• Proficient in conducting individual and group therapy sessions
• Interest or experience in neurofeedback, biofeedback, or integrative mental health
• Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new systems
• Warm, professional, and reliable
• Trauma-informed or somatic experience is a plus, but not required
• Applicants who are currently working for another practice are not a good fit for this position

Compensation Structure:

$20/hr Progress notes, training, supervision

$25/hr Neurofeedback Center

$30/hr Under 1000 BBS Hours

$35/hr Under 2000 BBS Hours

$40/hr Over 2000 BBS Hours

Looking for an individual who is either willing to reliably commute to Westlake Village CA 91362, or relocate before starting the position
