Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient intake processes within our Hospice. This position requires strong administrative skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient service. The Intake Coordinator will ensure that all necessary information is collected efficiently and accurately, facilitating a smooth experience for our patients.
Duties
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and consent forms.
- Maintain accurate patient files and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide support for Medicare-related inquiries and documentation.
- Assist in scheduling appointments and managing the clinic's calendar.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding services, procedures, and insurance coverage.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the hospice to ensure accurate scheduling.
Experience
- Previous experience in a Hospice setting
- Experience in patient service roles, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and empathy.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance communication with diverse patient populations. (Spanish)
- Knowledge of medical collection processes is a plus but not required.
