Job Description:
We have an opening for an analytical, creative, bar-titivating, administratively savvy, and methodical Beverage Training and Development Manager to work for IMI within one of our leading hotel management clients. This person will work with IMI’s Beverage Director and the Client’s teams to reinforce and strengthen bar services and technique training across the Client’s U.S. properties. The Beverage Training and Development Manager will assess each location’s inventory, menus, tools, facilities, and more against the program standards, providing corrective measures as needed to ensure program compliance. This Beverage Training and Development Manager will assist with new bar and restaurant openings, with beverage menu development in selected properties, and with end-of-the-month inventory reviews. This person will also assist with “Craftable” recipe creation and POS mapping across the portfolio, developing progress reports, and providing analysis and prescriptive feedback to guide teams towards success metrics.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Become a trusted liaison and partner for the client stakeholders, including property/unit stakeholders.
  • Work with the Beverage Director to identify target properties and develop plans to increase key performance metrics.
  • Proactively prepare and perform monthly on-site visits to different properties within the U.S. portfolio, setting up trainings, assisting with on-site inventory, tool, and facility review, and suggesting corrective measures as needed to ensure program compliance.
  • Track and follow up on corrective measures, ensuring implementation and making additional changes as needed.
  • Assist and help oversee Craftable Recipe creation and POS mapping across the client’s portfolio.
  • Support specific properties with end-of-month review processes as assigned. 
  • Gather property menus to review periodically for bar program compliance.
  • Assist assigned properties with beverage menu development and openings.
  • Review relevant beverage trends and consumer data.
  • Assist in tracking property metrics and suggest innovative ideas to assist with ROI.
  • Assist in refreshing training material at the property and national levels.
  • Help inspire properties to drive revenue by leveraging trends and fads across the beverage industry.
  • Implement and train unit leaders and staff on bar guidelines and instructions.
  • Ideate and support restaurant and bar activations for Grand Openings, Conferences, and Industry events.
  • Manage administrative marketing projects with the IMI Beverage Director as directed.
  • Creation of bar/drinks photography, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Required travel of 50 %+

Education & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Expert in training – Bartending skills and F&B operations, and services.
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communication, Hospitality, or a related field, preferred[JP1] .
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in developing, deploying, and assessing national marketing programs and activations (preferably food and beverage-oriented).
  • Proven working history of on-site bartending and craft cocktail creation.
  • Proven working experience in beverage trend spotting and beverage data analysis, staying current with present and future trends.
  • Expertise in creating and organizing documentation and fulfilling high-level administrative duties.
  • Expertise in cocktails, spirits, and a variety of beverages (e.g., spirits, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages).
  • Experience creating and presenting presentations to groups of all sizes in-person and virtually.
  • Experience managing inventories and developing prescriptive measures to control beverage costs.
  • Proficient in Excel, PPT, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft tools.
  • Strong presentation skills, including writing skills, and effectiveness. interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Exudes a passion for cocktail ideation, creation, and execution.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and balance priorities.
  • Works well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Flexible and able to work with different management styles.
  • Takes initiative and is a part of the solution to issues and problems.
  • High-energy people skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Hospitable, with a service-prone, client-first mentality.
  • Follow-up and follow-through must be your mantra!
  • Ability to travel as needed (50 %+).

Salary: Commensurate based on experience and demonstrated successes
