Sparrow House Counseling (SHC) is a large private practice in Dallas, Texas, which

serves individuals of all ages, marriages, and families. The practice is comprised of

psychologists and licensed professional counselors, who treat a variety of clinical

disorders and relationship issues. SHC is seeking a post-doctoral resident and early

career psychologist for their child and adolescent program.

Seeking: Child/Adolescent post-doctoral resident and early career psychologist

Opportunities:

 Cognitive-behavioral therapy work primarily with children and adolescents

with diagnoses such as (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, OCD, and

ADHD

 Assessment for a variety of disorders (learning disorders, attention

disorders, etc)

 Developing staff refresher training on evidence-based practices with the

child/adolescent population

 Opportunities to speak in the Dallas community regarding mental health

disorders

 Assist with program development of new services (parenting groups, social

skills groups, mindfulness, etc)

 Work collaboratively with other professionals in the community

(psychiatrists, pediatricians, etc)

 Collaborate with local school districts and private schools to assist students

and families

 Ability to build a caseload quickly

Qualifications:

 APA accredited school or clinical psychology program preferred

 APA or APPIC accredited pre-doctoral internship with emphasis in school or

child clinical work preferred

 Interest in collaborating with other professionals in a private practice setting
