- POSITION SUMMARY
- The referral/intake specialist is primarily responsible to determine the most appropriate provider among an array of both internal service providers as well as community organizations (if that service is unavailable). The Intake Coordinator provides new patients with information regarding the process and procedure to set up appointments, addresses concerns that may require emergency services, relates information to the appropriate providers, coordinates referral appointments in-house with the psychiatric unit discharges, provide social histories to the providers and must be able to assess, counsel and make appropriate decisions using theoretical and empirical knowledge of human behavior.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
- Licensed Social Worker in ND.
- Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Social Work degree from an accredited school of Social Work preferred.
- Experience Requirements
- Previous experience in health care preferred, but not required.
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
- Organizational skills, attentive to detail, good time management, good computer knowledge and able to keep necessary information organized for efficient use.
