Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. This position is in the NORTH READING/HAVERHILL area of MA, as well as SOUTHERN PARTS OF NEW HAMPSHIRE.
In this role, you will provide high-quality mental health care to patients across various age groups,. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with psychiatric disorders while collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE LICENSED IN MA AND NEW HAMPSHIRE, AND BE PMHNP- BC
Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and physical examinations of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Administer medications and monitor their effects on patients.
- Provide pain management strategies and support for patients experiencing discomfort.
- Engage in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients leaving care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using Epic software.
- Offer care for infectious diseases as part of a holistic treatment approach.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in medical terminology and psychiatric practices.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of physiology related to mental health conditions.
- Experience in medication administration and monitoring.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes.
- Proficient in managing medical records, particularly within the Epic system.
- Understanding of toddler care as it relates to mental health needs.
- Knowledge of infectious disease care principles is a plus.
- Candidates should have a valid Nurse Practitioner license and relevant certifications in psychiatric nursing. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is essential for success in this role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $160,500.00 - $165,100.00 per year
