Springer serves the community through four pillars: Springer Lower School and Middle School (grades 1-8), Springer High School (grades 9-12), Springer Diagnostic Center, and Springer Learning Center. Position Summary

Springer High School seeks a Student Life Coordinator / School Counselor who will directly support students through counseling services, coordinate student programming and activities, and find creative ways to further establish Springer High School as a student-centered learning environment.

Job Goals

· Provide direct counseling support to students in times of need.

· Design, coordinate and manage programming the supports students’ personal growth and healthy wellbeing.

· Establish positive relationships with parents to help support their child’s healthy growth and development.

· Embrace a team approach to supporting student growth.

· Contribute to the health and wellbeing of the broader Springer community.

Required Qualifications

· Master’s Degree in clinical counseling, school counseling or a related field.

· Experience working directly with students diagnosed with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and ADHD, and who have challenges with executive functioning.

· The proven ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with students and families.

· Experience contributing to the development of a positive school culture.

· Experience working as a member of a high-performing team.

Terms of Employment: Full-time school year (10 months)
