Camp Mariposa Program Supervisor - Part time

EVERETT, WA

Compass Health is currently looking for a Camp Mariposa Supervisor to join the Children's Intensive Services team!

What you will be performing

The Program Supervisor provides oversight of the Camp Mariposa program to ensure a quality camp experience and to ensure that the program is meeting Compass Health and Eluna requirements and expectations. The Supervisor is responsible for collaborating and coordinating with community agencies, funding partners, and organizations to ensure positive working relationships for the benefit of clients served.

  • Coordinates, plans, and implements Camp Mariposa activities, overnight camps, and all volunteer and camper recruitment following Eluna and Compass Health requirements.
  • Interviews potential Camp Mariposa campers and their parents or guardians to determine a child’s suitability and readiness to attend camp.
  • Interviews potential Camp Mariposa volunteers and mentors to ensure they are the right fit for the program and coordinates a successful onboarding process.
  • Maintains accurate, up to date records.
  • Maintains an organized inventory of supplies, and coordinates needed supply orders.
  • Manages the annual Holiday Shopping event, secures donations, and organizes inventory.

What you will be carrying along

  • BA/BS/BSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field required, MA/MS/MSW Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of successful experience working with youth and families in the foster system, or any combination of education and foster care experience with knowledge of successful foster care strategies.
  • 2 years of direct clinical service experience in a mental health setting with children/adolescents/families.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated administrative and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical issues pertaining to child/youth populations, along with extensive understanding of the clinical process and intervention strategies used to address these issues.
  • Demonstrated understanding of team dynamics and the ability to develop a healthy, positive work environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with complex needs and multi-system involvement.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
