Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Front Office Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk and providing exceptional service to our patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting, showcasing strong administrative skills and a friendly demeanor. You will be responsible for managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental office.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of time slots.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
- Process patient check-ins and check-outs.
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or other payments at the time of service.
- Maintain accurate patient records using software systems, we currently use Valant.
- Assist with coding for insurance claims and ensure compliance with billing procedures.
- Collaborate with clinic staff to facilitate seamless communication between departments.
- Enter and maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new patients.
- Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and coordination with external providers when needed.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar Front Desk role within psychiatric or medical office is preferred.
- Familiarity with billing processes and coding practices is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Valant, Tebra, or Meditech is highly desirable.
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Pay: $19.00 - $19.75 per hour
