Prominent Counseling Services serves ages 5 - 65 who demonstrate a clinical necessity arising from conditions due to mental disorders, substance abuse, behavioral issues, or emotional illnesses.

A Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) is an individual who is in the health profession and who is trained and experienced in providing psychiatric or mental health services to individuals who have a psychiatric diagnosis.

Responsibilities:

• Provides direct support, medication management and IDAL's support, to identified clients on a weekly basis for 10 to 15 hours per case. * Responsibilities also include, the ISP’s, quarterly reports, and BIRP notes. Assists in planning and coordination of services. * Provides coping strategies based on individual diagnosis. * Models and teaches problem-solving techniques. * Provides a variety of interventions in client’s home and community as appropriate and necessary. These interventions may be behavioral and social as needed. * Provide linkage to community-based services and supports; provides advocacy and support for family with these services. *Provide support to parents in the home to prevent from out of home placement with a client.
