40 Summary:
Provides outpatient psychotherapy (family and individual therapy) and psychological/ neuropsychological testing. Works with clients ages 0-18 and their families. The Psychologist possesses knowledge and understanding of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development as well as experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses and a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests. Experience with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care is preferred. Understanding of the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan is preferred. May be assigned to work with specialty populations or across several clinic locations.
Education:
Education:
- Doctoral Degree in Psychology from an APA accredited institution
- Texas License as a Psychologist or Provisionally Licensed Psychologist
- Training in child growth and development required
- Prior experience in pediatric/adolescent setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to develop outstanding leadership skills
- Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and customer relations practice
Certification/Licensure:
- Maintains a current, valid Texas State License to practice psychology as a Licensed Psychologist or Provisionally Licensed Psychologist
- CPR - BLS required
