A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Supervise Social Work staff and oversees daily operations.
- Precept/complete orientation for new caregivers and assure annual competencies and other ongoing training sessions are successfully completed.
- Assist with interviews and completion of annual performance evaluations.
- Arrange schedules, evaluate caseloads and make daily assignments.
- Assist in the development of department practices and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Analyze productivity and other outcome measures to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Serve as a clinical subject matter expert for teams lead by other disciplines.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work from a college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Valid Driver’s License (VDL) and insurance
- Three to five years of related experience
- Previous supervisory experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, chronic illness, oncology, or palliative care
- Supervision Designation (LISW-S)
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- May require periods of sitting, standing, and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the campus / community to attend meetings or appointments.
- Must have normal or corrected vision.
- Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
