Job Description – Mental Health Counselor
Mountain Care Network is a West Virginia-based licensed behavioral health agency seeking to improve the lives of fellow West Virginians. We are licensed clinicians in our communities providing quality mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in Kanawha, Putnam, Boone, Mason, and Lincoln Counties.
We are seeking a passionate and energetic, Master’s level mental health professional (MA, MS, LPC, LGSW, LCSW, LICSW) to join our team to provide services to families and individuals in Kanawha and Putnam Counties. This is a community based position. Mental Health Counselors are expected to see clients in schools, homes, at one of our offices, or via Telehealth. We want therapists that are devoted to helping fix the problems our state is currently facing. This position will require travel to areas up to 50 miles of Charleston.

Preferences:
- Experience providing direct therapeutic interventions to families, children or adults.
- Experience working with underserved communities
-Must be willing to work in the community
Duties:
1) Provide evidenced-based therapeutic interventions, for families and individuals experiencing psychological or emotional problems related to substance abuse, domestic violence, depression, trauma, anxiety or family-related problems.
2) Administer various tests such as psychiatric tests, personality inventories, and psychotherapy evaluations to determine diagnoses and level of functioning.
3) Plan and administer therapeutic treatment such as behavior modification and stress management therapy to assist patients in their recovery.
4) Document goals and progress related to individual client needs in structured treatment plan.
5) Consult with other providers and specialists concerning treatment plan and amend plan as directed.
6) Refer client for supportive services to supplement treatment and therapy.
7) Participate as part of a treatment team to include regular team meetings, integrated care, supervisors, case managers, etc.
8) Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 per year
