You must have current licensure as an LMFT (licensed marriage and family therapist) and 1-3 years of experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. $72,000 - $125,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Deliver mental health services to families, couples, individuals, and children by employing solution-focused counseling techniques
- Collaborate with community organizations and attend weekly clinical team meetings
- Test, interview, observe, and hold discussion sessions with individuals, significant others, and family members to conduct intake and needs assessments
- Document patient records accurately and thoroughly in accordance with facility and licensing standards
- Engage in planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic treatment programs for each patient
- Conduct clinical assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans for clients
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients with a variety of behavioral health concerns
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment goals and interventions
- Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Utilize evidence-based practices in clinical counseling and therapy techniques
- Work with individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with special education needs
- Provide behavioral therapy and interventions to promote positive behavior change
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of mental health counseling
- Collaborate with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to pediatric clients
Qualifications:
- Licensure in the state you reside as a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) or the equivalent is required
- 1-3 years in a clinical setting counseling couples and families is required
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field; preference to those with a master’s degree
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, are needed
- Master's degree in Marital and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- State licensure or certification as a Clinical Therapist
- Experience working with couples and families is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of family systems techniques and interventions
- Experience with addictions and/or trauma-informed care is a plus
