- Depending on an applicant's preference, many duties can be performed remotely or in-person.
- Travel to the lab is still required in some cases.
- In-person duties include supervising the lab during open hours, conducting lab orientations, and demonstrating how to use lab equipment.
- Duties that can be performed in-person or via Zoom are assisting students with research experiments and writing papers, basic data analysis and report writing, and assisting psychology faculty and staff with their research needs.
- Student must be a psychology major or minor.
- Must have completed General Psychology (PSYC100), Fundamentals of Psychological Science (PSYC200) and Research Methods (PSYC312), with above average grades in each course.
- Requires knowledge of APA format and ability to use MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Understanding of research methodology is necessary and preference will be given to those that have an understanding of basic statistics.
- Must be a student at Metro State University and eligible for work study.
