Description: To Develop alternatives to suspension and expulsions and to provide teacher training in classroom management and motivating students acadeically vocationally and socially and to provide parent training.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in educational psychology or social work with an emphasis on behavior managment interventions.
Performance responsibilites:
1. Assists teachers in the esign of appropriate behavior management programs for individual students and targeted classrooms.
2. Works directly with the school system and other service providers to establish and coordinate cooperative working relationships
3. Works directly with consultants to plan and conduct training sessions
4. Establishes a training and support group for parents of children with behavioral or emotional disabilites
5. Review existing behavior mangament prograns and assists upon request with program modifications
6. Provides inservice to school pesonnel on request
7. Implements and revises the parish discipline plan for disabled students as needed
8. Inputs discipline referrals
9. Performas all such duties as assigned by the principal
10. Assesses performance through an annual self evaluation
