About the role:

To support the academic, social-emotional, and career development of middle school students in alignment with the Tennessee School Counseling Model and Standards. The professional school counselor provides a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate counseling program that promotes student achievement, personal growth, and postsecondary readiness. Counselors collaborate with students, families, educators, and community partners to ensure that all students are supported and empowered to succeed in school and in life.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Tennessee school counselor license

    • Knowledge of and adherence to the Tennessee School Counseling Standards and the ASCA Ethical Standards.

  • Governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Tennessee Code Annotated and the collective bargaining agreement.

  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position

We value honesty and transparency in our hiring process. Our salary range for teaching positions is $59,060.23 to $82,938.53, determined by verified years of experience.
