About the Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (DO/MD) to join our collaborative team in beautiful Idaho Falls, Idaho. The role offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, a manageable patient volume, and the potential for a long-term engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and more.
- Manage consults, new admissions, discharges, and emergent psychiatric cases.
- Prescribe and manage medications with appropriate monitoring.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including another MD and a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (MHNP), to ensure holistic patient care.
- Utilize Meditech EHR for documentation and patient management.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
- Board Certification in Psychiatry.
- Completion of a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship.
- Active and unrestricted Idaho State Medical License (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Active DEA Registration.
- Possession of a State-Specific Controlled Substances Registration (CSR) for Idaho.
- NPI# and Certificate of Insurance (COI).
- Proven experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, demonstrating a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
Schedule & Logistics:
- Start Date: September 15, 2025
- Assignment Length: 120 work days (approx. 6 months), with a strong likelihood of extension.
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Call Schedule: To be determined
- Patient Volume: 10-14 patients per day
- Credentialing Duration: Approximately 1 month
- Closest Airport: Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA)
