Job Title: Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Job Location: Tulsa, OK 74136

Job Type: Full Time

Job Duties:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and suicide risk assessments for individuals with mental health concerns.
  • Work under the general supervision of a physician (psychiatrist) to diagnose mental health disorders and make treatment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in working effectively with leadership, colleagues, patients, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide counseling support and mental health interventions as part of patient care.
  • Analyze patient data and make informed decisions using critical thinking and independent judgment.
  • Manage and coordinate activities and projects, ensuring deadlines are met and guidelines are adhered to.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and manage sensitive issues with professionalism.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and accept new assignments as needed.
  • Plan and execute various stages of projects by selecting appropriate methods and techniques.
  • Adhere to the organization's policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure quality care.
  • Keep up-to-date with required Saint Francis Health System trainings and certifications.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a customer service-oriented attitude and maintain ethical standards in all interactions.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and professional backgrounds.

Job Requirements:

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or other licensed mental health professional issued by the State Board of Behavioral Health for Oklahoma.
  • Master's degree in counseling or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong psychological counseling skills.
  • Ability to work in a complex, emotional, and high-stress environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with leadership, colleagues, and patients.
  • Ability to think critically, analyze complex situations, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with PCs and clinical information systems.
  • Flexibility to shift priorities and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must meet and maintain current Oklahoma credentialing and privileging requirements.

Schedule:
