Position Overview:
Marian High School is seeking a full-time School Counselor for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will bring energy, compassion, and experience to a well-established counseling team that delivers a four-year, student-centered, college-preparatory counseling curriculum. Marian’s Counseling Department utilizes Naviance software, counselor-led classroom lessons, and parent programming to initiate college and career conversations as early as freshman year. Counselors work closely with students and families to provide academic, personal, social, and college counseling support throughout high school.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement Marian’s comprehensive, four-year counseling curriculum
Provide academic, college, career, and personal/social counseling to students
Support students and families through the college application process
Deliver classroom lessons and parent programming related to college planning and student well-being
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to support student success
Utilize Naviance, PowerSchool, and other platforms to maintain accurate student records and data

Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Education, or Social Work
PLUS one of the following credentials:
SCL School Counselor License
NT Counseling Endorsement (for Michigan teacher-certified counselors)
LPC Licensed Professional Counselor credential
High school counseling experience preferred
Familiarity with PowerSchool and Naviance is a plus
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Commitment to the mission and values of Marian High School
