About Job

We’re Hiring: BCBA – Consultant Role with Flexibility & Impact

Location: Lake Washington School District
Schedule: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: Competitive, Based on Experience
Travel Required: Primarily within King County

Make Your Next Role One That Actually Moves the Needle

At Connections Behavior Planning & Intervention, we believe ABA should empower—not overwhelm. Our Consultation Department partners with school districts and stakeholders to design systems, deliver coaching, and solve complex behavior challenges at the individual, classroom, and organizational levels.

We’re hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a full-time consulting role focused on strategic ABA service delivery across schools, homes, and community settings. This is an opportunity to contribute at a systems level while collaborating with a supportive, innovative team.

If you’re a BCBA who enjoys solving tough problems, building capacity in others, and working in diverse environments—this role is designed for you.

What Makes This Role Stand Out

Autonomy & Flexibility – You’ll set your own schedule and manage your caseload based on your work style and availability.
Diverse Work Settings – From stakeholder homes to district classrooms to virtual collaboration—no two days are the same.
Big-Picture Impact – You’ll contribute to school-wide initiatives, develop scalable systems, and strengthen long-term outcomes.
Supportive Culture – Our consultation team collaborates regularly, shares ideas freely, and is driven by mutual respect and integrity.
Clinic-Adjacent, Not Clinic-Bound – While our organization includes clinic-based services, this role is focused on external consultation and coaching.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

  • Providing direct consultation to schools and stakeholders through an MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) framework
  • Conducting FBAs, PBSPs, classroom observations, and behavior program reviews
  • Coaching stakeholders using Behavioral Skills Training (BST) and Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Supporting district-level initiatives, professional development, and implementation of evidence-based behavior systems
  • Delivering trainings, workshops, and summer programming for school and community teams
  • Writing clear reports and managing documentation for both private-pay and insurance-based clients
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including educators, counselors, and district leaders
  • Participating in monthly consultation team meetings and strategic planning sessions

Who You Are:

  • A BCBA with at least 6 months of post-certification experience
  • Confident working across age ranges 2–21 and a variety of diagnoses
  • Skilled at building rapport with educators and stakeholders in both one-on-one and team settings
  • Familiar with ABA, PBIS, MTSS, OBM, and school-based consultation models
  • Organized, independent, and ready to manage a monthly billable expectation of 128 hours
  • Comfortable traveling within King County and surrounding areas

Bonus Experience:

  • 2+ years working as a BCBA
  • Public school experience or deep familiarity with the IEP process
  • Experience delivering trainings, workshops, or staff development programs
  • Strong skills in written communication, data-based decision-making, and digital presentation tools
  • Interest in contributing to projects or expanding consultation initiatives within the department

What We Offer:

  • Schedule flexibility and autonomy
  • A hybrid model of in-person and remote consultation
  • Reimbursement for travel/mileage
  • Ongoing support from a mission-aligned team
  • Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development
  • A people-first culture where innovation and ethical practice come first

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Current auto insurance
  • Ability to pass an FBI background check
