We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker Director to join our client’s Women’s Reintegration and Justice Support Program. This role involves providing comprehensive support to women recently released from incarceration, focusing on their successful reintegration into the community and addressing barriers to stability. The Social Worker Director will use their expertise to conduct casework, advocate for clients, and connect them with essential services, with a particular focus on those who have experienced homelessness or housing instability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Assessment: Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments to understand each client’s needs, strengths, and barriers to reintegration.
  • Individualized Care Plans: Develop and implement personalized care plans that address immediate needs and long-term goals, including housing stability, employment, and health care.
  • Case Management: Provide ongoing case management services, including coordinating care, facilitating access to community resources, and supporting clients in navigating social and legal systems.
  • Support and Advocacy: Advocate for clients’ needs and rights within the community, legal, and social service systems to secure resources and opportunities.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute challenges, ensuring they have access to emergency services and stabilization resources.
  • Housing Assistance: Assist clients in securing safe and stable housing, including navigating housing applications, advocating with landlords, and addressing housing-related issues.
  • Employment Support: Facilitate connections to employment services, training programs, and job opportunities, and support clients in developing job readiness skills.
  • Health and Wellness: Coordinate access to healthcare services, including mental health support, substance abuse treatment, and primary care, to address clients’ holistic needs.
  • Life Skills Development: Provide education and support in life skills areas such as budgeting, conflict resolution, and daily living skills to promote independence and stability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other program staff, community organizations, and service providers to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to client support.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, assessments, care plans, and progress in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Outreach and Engagement: Conduct outreach to recently incarcerated women to engage them in the program and provide initial support and orientation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings to enhance professional skills and contribute to program development.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution required.
  • Licensure: LMSW or LCSW license required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in program supervision/administration.
  • Skills: Strong assessment, case management, and advocacy skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of issues faced by women reintegrating from incarceration, including legal, social, and economic challenges. Familiarity with housing services, employment support, and community resources.
