Seeking one Licensed Counselors (LPC, LPC-A LMFT) with experience in Play Therapy

SkyLife Wellness is a growing private counseling practice providing counseling to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. SkyLife Wellness is in Southlake, Texas with our office located right off Southlake Blvd near White Chapel. We are seeking one Texas licensed mental health practitioner/counselor (LPC, LPC-A, LMFT) with training and experience in Play Therapy to join our company, operating 4-5 days a week to support the goal of 20+ client sessions a week.

SkyLife Wellness is owned and managed by Dr. Jenna Mack, a counselor educator, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and LPC-supervisor who values collaboration and the cultivation and growth of counselors. SkyLife will provide support, accountability, and ongoing growth available in a group practice through our strong team environment. We hold weekly group supervision meetings to enhance our clinical practice and remain cohesive as a team. As a counselor at SkyLife Wellness we believe in having you as a member of the practice and not just a contractor. You will be an W2 Employee for SkyLife with the flexibility to manage a schedule that works best for you and the clients you will be seeing.

Experience:`

  • Counseling adults, couples, children, teens and/or tweens.
  • Training in play therapy
  • Experience in play therapy
  • Experience working with neurodivergent individuals

Education: Master’s degree or higher in counseling or counselor education. Must be a licensed counselor- LPC, LPC-S, LPC-A and/or LMFT.

Job Duties:

· Provide counseling for issues related to neurodivergence

· Provide counseling for other issues including but not limited to family conflict, anxiety, depression, trauma, anger management, grief, relationship troubles, blended family issues, LGBTQ issues, self-harm, stress, and suicide.

· On task with paperwork and on-time for client appointments

· Ability and comfort with using telehealth services for clients that require or prefer virtual telehealth counseling over in-person. This is important for supporting business needs during the Covid-19 pandemic.

· Ready for the fiscal and legal responsibilities of private practice

· Can work effectively and ethically with individuals, couples and families, and groups

· Work to build you personal brand and client based to achieve a full caseload in 3-6 months with support from the SkyLife team

  • Work 4 days a week or more with an average of 20+ client sessions per week.

· Desire to be a part of an experienced and supportive team of professionals

· Help with marketing and promoting SkyLife Wellness

· Develop therapeutic processes (treatment plan & goals, ‘homework assignments’, psychoeducational tools, etc.)

· Utilize computer scheduling software program (SimplePractice)

· Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment (scanner, copier, etc).

· Willing to lead group counseling sessions and parenting psychoeducational groups

· Ability to be sensitive to issues of diversity and ability to work in a diverse environment.

·

· Work with individuals, families, couples and teens using a variety of therapy modalities.

· Use a holistic “wellness” model which promotes and encourages client’s strengths.

· Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment (scanner, copier, etc).

· Seek additional training both in the areas of interest and areas for growth

· Optional opportunities to lead trainings in the community

· Desire to be a supervisor for new counselors

Job Type: W-2 Employee / Full client load of 20+ Clients per week as target

Pay: Pay is on a per client session rate based on skills and experience. SkyLife Wellness offers industry leading competitive pay ranging from $40 per client session to $85 based on experience and tenure.
