Job description

Shine Pediatric Therapy is seeking an energetic and passionate BCBA to join our growing multidisciplinary team working with children from ages 2-7! Shine opened in October 2022 with a goal of providing fun, engaging, and neurodiversity affirming care within a play-based learning environment.

The BCBA will work closely, and collaborate with, other team members to ensure coordination of care and generalization of skills. This is a salaried role with a weekly bonus available based upon billable hours.

Essential Functions:

  • Administers, conducts, evaluates, and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment and functional assessment measures
  • Develops individualized goals and objectives for programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data
  • Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented to ensure that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the analysis of goals and objectives
  • Trains clinical staff on the proper implementation of educational and behavioral programs / plans
  • Responsible for supervising and facilitating the growth of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
  • Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner
  • Maintains billable caseload and documents billable hours according to Shine’s policies, insurance regulations, and state / federal regulations
  • Completes parent / guardian meeting every 4 weeks to review goal progress, treatment plan, behavior intervention plan, and provide parent education
  • Adheres to the mission, vision, and values of Shine Pediatric Therapy

Required Education and Experience:

  • A master's degree and educational coursework completed in the areas of child development, special education, psychology, or related field
  • Active BACB Certification
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of DTT, NET, and other ABA strategies
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working with children with Autism
  • Active CPR training

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up-to 25 pounds.
  • Maintain a caseload of 8-10 children from ages 2-7
  • Regular contact with parent(s), other team members, and outside agency personnel
  • Hazards: Incumbent may be exposed to contact with individuals displaying physically aggressive, self-abusive, or socially undesirable behavior.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Shine is open from Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

BACB® Certified, meets BACB Supervisor requirements

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must pass a criminal history background check
