Overview
The Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting by facilitating the smooth flow of patient information and ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected and processed efficiently. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is adept at managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and maintaining accurate records within a Medical environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, as well as experience with electronic health record systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage the intake process, ensuring all necessary information is collected accurately.
- Coordinate Start Of Care appointment with patient and Clinicians.
- Review and verify documentation for completeness and accuracy, including medical history forms and insurance information.
- Maintain organized patient files in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic, Ensocare and Axxess to retrieve patient data.
- Verifying insurance coverage and Prior Authorization
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Collaborate with the Scheduler ad Authorization Coodrinator
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Skills
- Proficiency in Axxess is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication.
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or Home Health Role within a clinic or hospital setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation review and file management.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work with team members in the office.
