We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing assistance and guidance to individuals facing various challenges related to mental health, addiction, and behavioral health. The Support Specialist will work closely with clients to develop personalized strategies for coping and recovery, ensuring a supportive environment that fosters growth and resilience.
Duties
- Provide direct support to clients in crisis situations, utilizing effective crisis management techniques.
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized support plans.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients in their recovery journey.
- Offer mentoring and guidance to clients, helping them navigate challenges related to addiction and mental health.
- Facilitate group sessions focused on behavioral health topics, promoting peer support and community engagement.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with organizational policies.
- Stay informed about best practices in social work, addiction counseling, and mental health counseling.
Experience
