Location: School District of Beloit - Beloit Memorial High School

Position Type: Full-Time, 192-Day Contract

Start Date: 08/22/2025

The School District of Beloit is seeking a highly qualified, dedicated, compassionate, and student-centered School Psychologist to join our educational team. This candidate will support student academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success by working collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners. This position plays a critical role in conducting psychological assessments, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments in compliance with WI DPI guidelines to identify students' needs.
  • Interpret assessment data to inform instructional planning and IEP development.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents.
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including individual and group counseling.
  • Provide crisis management support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Create behavior management plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with Multi-Level Systems of Support (MLSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) frameworks.
  • Support crisis prevention, intervention, and postvention services.
  • Participate in Child Find, 504, and behavioral support processes.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of student progress.
  • Work with students who have developmental disabilities, providing tailored support and interventions.
  • Develop safety plans for at-risk students to ensure their well-being within the school environment.
  • Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behavior changes in students.
  • Engage in case management activities, coordinating services for students requiring additional support.

Skills

  • Proficiency in behavior management techniques to address various student needs.
  • Strong understanding of psychological testing methods and interpretation of results.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to student health and psychological services.
  • Experience in crisis management strategies for immediate intervention.
  • Familiarity with IEP development processes and compliance regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent case management skills, ensuring comprehensive support for students.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and external agencies.
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment for all students.

Qualifications:

  • Valid WI DPI School Psychologist License (#7062) required.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, FERPA, FAPE, and RtI/MTSS frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with culturally responsive practices and trauma-informed care preferred.
