About Job

A Licensed Clinician/Therapist for Behavioral Health and Wellness Center’s Children’s Outpatient Mental Health Clinic treats children, adolescents and young adults up to age 26 who are experiencing behavioral and mental health challenges. The License Clinician/Therapist will provide bio-psychosocial assessments, diagnose using the DSM5, provide evidenced based treatment/therapy, clinical support, crisis intervention and care coordination to the clients and their families. This clinician will be part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure quality service provision. Services will be provided in person and virtually. Remote work is offered.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Meet required levels of service and productivity based on expected targets
  • Utilize best evidenced based approaches to provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy and treatment.
  • Perform intake assessment, evaluation, clinical screenings and interventions, treatment planning, review meetings, crisis interventions, and discharge planning.
  • Utilize electronic health records to maintain document and track client’s history, profile, and progress.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other mental health professionals.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, trainings, case conferences, and high-risk committee meetings as needed.
  • Cooperate and assist with incident management and other quality assurance requirements.
  • Other clinical and administrative duties, as assigned.

COMPLIANCE

  • Stay abreast of all OMH, SED, and Medicaid regulations.
  • Maintain contemporaneous counseling/collateral notes.
  • Record weekly progress notes.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in social work or any related behavioral health or human services fields.
  • Licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LMSW)
  • One year of experience working with children and youth with behavioral and emotional challenges preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees and represent the Agency with external groups/individuals.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish, French or Creole preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
