Summary
As a Counselor at Pyramid Healthcare, you will play a vital role in supporting clients through their recovery journeys. Located in a compassionate and collaborative environment, you will provide essential behavioral healthcare services that help individuals overcome challenges related to addiction and mental health.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions focused on addiction recovery and mental health.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate client progress.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and progress notes for each client.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care and support.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and psychopharmacology.
- Experience in addiction counseling or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and ICD-9 coding is beneficial.
