Position Summary: Manages and supervises daily clinical operations of the programs of the RTC to ensure services support and address existing and/or emerging behavioral health needs in compliance with established quality and regulatory standards.
Critical Tasks:
- Supervises provision of clinical services to ensure development and implementation in accordance with established regulatory requirements and standards.
- Reviews, assigns and coordinates incoming cases/referrals to ensure delivery and continuity of care within a safe and effective environment.
- Participates in annual planning and operating budget recommendations to increase operational effectiveness and compliance with changing regulations.
- Develops and implements annual Quality Improvement and Utilization Review programs incorporating current trends, best practices and changes in regulatory/licensing policies, procedures and standards.
- Acts as point of contact/clinical expert on complex clinical and team management issues.
- Participates in recruitment and selection of clinical staff, initiates staff development plans, and provides input for clinical staff performance evaluations.
- Identifies clinical and professional development staff needs; works collaborative with Director and Medical Director to implement appropriate education and training programs.
- Works closely and collaboratively with clinical staff to convene, facilitate and/or participate in clinical team meetings to monitor patient progress against goals.
- Performs clinical screening, assessment and treatment interventions for a therapeutic caseload of high-risk patients.
- Manages assigned caseload by establishing priorities and balancing quantity and quality issues to ensure timely delivery/coordination of treatment services.
- Conducts chart review to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Participates in review, evaluation and development of departmental, functional and/or service related policies and procedures.
- Participates in the investigation and follow up on patient complaints to ensure timely response and/or appropriate resolution to concerns/issues.
- Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs/initiatives.
- Participates in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or closely related field.
- Current State of Arizona license in behavioral health field: LPC, LCSW or higher.
- CPR certificate within 30 days of hire.
- Must have at least 3 years experience in counseling, human services or social work and 2 years management experience.
- Current valid State of Arizona driver’s license.
