Position Description
Social emotional learning and regulation, in addition to student self-advocacy, is critical to achieving a culture of achievement and success for students at Bridge Prep. We are seeking a talented and open-minded School Social Worker to join our current Student Support Team and bring their skills, experience, and energy to our collaborative, student centered learning environment.
Essential Functions
- Provide effective and proactive individual and group interventions and IEP mandated counseling services to support students’ academic, personal, and interpersonal challenges
- Work collaboratively with the Assistant Principal of Student Support and the Principal to help develop solutions to student, group, and school-wide issues and trends
- Coordinate with Family Coordinator to link families to community resources as needed
- Provide crisis intervention, referrals, and case management services to students and families
- Assist Dean of Culture in conducting home and community visits to assess student and family needs
- Complete documentation, progress notes, and reports as required by state, local and federal mandates
- Serve as liaison on child welfare issues and share expertise with the greater school team
- Attend regular staff meetings and professional development workshops
- Provide workshops to staff and families on topics relating to child social emotional development
- Perform other duties as assigned
Reporting: This is a full time position reporting to the Assistant Principal of Student Support or their designee(s).
Qualifications:
- School Social Work Certification required
- LMSW or LCSW license preferred
- Extensive knowledge of child development and interventions
- Experience in therapeutic modalities related to children and families in traditionally underserved communities and students with disabilities, including assessment and treatment of trauma
- Experience working within an elementary school environment or with elementary-aged children
- Experience working with students at various academic ability levels
- Documented track record of personal and professional success
- Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work with parents, students, staff, external stakeholders, and community groups

Salary: Compensation is commensurate with experience, ranging from $75,000-$90,000 annually.
