QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master’s degree from an accredited university.
- Michigan approval in school psychology.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with parents and professionals associated with Special Education.
DESIREABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with special needs students.
- Clinical experience with varied school related problems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child growth and development.
- Experience in cognitive function.
- Experience with Community Mental Health, First Resources, and similar agencies.
- Experience with the development of positive behavior support plans and Functional Behavior Assessment.
ASSIGNED RESPONSIBILITIES SHALL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- Establish a schedule and conduct psychological evaluations of students.
- Assist in crisis situations and develop behavior plans in cooperation with the professional staff.
- Interpret psychological findings.
- Consult with other professionals representing community resources.
- Attend all staff meetings.
- Attend and/or conduct staffing on students.
- Conduct individual counseling with selected students.
- Evaluate new methods and techniques in cooperation with the school staff.
- Participate in the in-service and school improvement training programs.
- Work with professionals to develop student goals and objectives.
- Complete Medicaid forms.
- Review all new files for accuracy of M-Team psychological, and IEPT reports.
- Other assignments as determined by building administrator.
WORK YEAR : 186 day calendar
START DATE : Fall 2025
WORK LOCATION : Lutz School for Work Experience
SALARY : Per Macomb Intermediate Federation of Teachers Master Agreement.
