About Downtown Counseling

Downtown Counseling is a growing mental health private practice in Mississippi dedicated to delivering exceptional, client-centered care. We are expanding our services to include psychiatric evaluations and medication management and are looking for a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join us as an independent contractor.

What You’ll Do

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
• Provide ongoing medication management and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with therapists and other providers for integrated care.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EHR system.
• See clients in person and/or via telehealth, based on your preference and availability.
  

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed PMHNP in Mississippi (active and unrestricted)
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in outpatient psychiatry.
• Expertise in evidence-based psychopharmacology and psychiatric diagnosis.
• Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment and professionalism.
• Passion for compassionate, culturally competent care.
• Reliable, responsive, and well-organized.

Compensation

This is a contract position with competitive pay—you’re in control of your earnings. We do not cap your income, and you are not subject to traditional revenue splits. You will have the option to discuss flat-rate service agreement or revenue-sharing structures. Let us know what works best for you!
