Work Shift

Interviews, counsels and provides clinical social work to cancer patients and their family members as indicated.One year previous clinical social work experience is required, preferably in a medical setting. Must have interviewing and counseling skills, group therapy skills and an understanding of the group process. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Must also have the ability to interact appropriately with pediatric patients, adolescents, and adults or geriatric patients as unit specific assignments require.Must be able to see and read, as medical record information is essential in the assessment process. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing. Must be able to access medical records. Must be able to negotiate Medical Center physical plant.
