In this role, you will support individuals through the recovery process by participating in assessments, creating personalized treatment plans, and providing counseling and education. Working under the supervision of licensed professionals, you will facilitate individual and group sessions, document services in accordance with standards, and help clients transition smoothly.

Key Responsibilities :

Participate in the screening and assessment process under the supervision of a licensed or qualified counselor or therapist, adhering to State Regulatory, CARF, and agency standards.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments and in compliance with regulatory guidelines under supervision.

Complete correspondence, documentation, and file/charting tasks promptly and accurately.

Participate in clinical staffing and team meetings, providing feedback on cases.

Adhere to a weekly direct service provision model.

Document all services in compliance with standards, ensuring timeliness and alignment with treatment plans.

Ensure that treatment plans, updates, and discharge summaries are reviewed and countersigned by a Qualified Addiction Professional.

Assist clients through transitions, completing summaries and correspondence as needed.

Complete 36 hours of training every two years based on an individualized training plan.

Maintain positive professional relationships with clients, referral sources, and colleagues while adhering to ethical standards.

Handle crisis situations effectively, notifying supervisors when appropriate.

Facilitate group counseling, education, family conferences, and individual sessions to promote recovery and decision-making skills.

Contribute to long- and short-term goals of the organization.

Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications :

In Illinois: Obtain a CADC within two years and renew as required, meeting the requirements of the states credentialing board.

Willingness to become licensed in additional states and provide telehealth services as needed.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

Basic knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods related to mental health and substance use treatment.

Understanding of program policies, procedures, and regulations.

Knowledge of biological, cognitive-affective, and social bases of behavior.

Familiarity with therapeutic theories and counseling techniques.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to conduct individual and group interventions effectively.
