Thrive maintains a network of employed behavioral health care specialists in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and South Florida.

Our practice maintains the heart of a caregiver, the intelligence of collaboration, and a culture of supporting each other.

Job Intro:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist/ LCSW or LMHC to join our healthcare team. This role is specific to existing client locations paid on a part-time fee-for-service basis. We provide the necessary administrative support for scheduling and billing so you can focus on patient care and fulfilling our service delivery. This position serves site locations in the Deerfield and Pompano Beach area, where you will visit one location per day. Ideally, you reside in the nearby area to ensure your daily commute remains approximately 45 minutes or fewer to any site.

The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychological services, including psychological assessments, psychotherapy treatment planning, and crisis intervention. This role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the management and treatment of clients with mental health needs, primarily within geriatric and senior living communities. Your primary role will be to conduct psychological evaluations, provide therapy, and develop treatment strategies tailored to the needs of older adults. Our care delivery approach enables onsite rounding and tele-psychology. It helps extend care to those most in need while providing our clinical teams with a dynamic treatment environment that helps minimize redundancy and burnout.

Clinical Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based psychological interventions.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients struggling with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive issues.
  • Utilize evidence-based counseling techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and other appropriate modalities.
  • Conduct assessments that include areas of cognition, adjustment to disability and related measures to the rehabilitation population.
  • Provide crisis intervention services and risk assessments as needed.
  • Consult with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Offer psychoeducation to clients, caregivers, and family members regarding mental health conditions and coping strategies.
  • Timely and accurate completion of EMR documentation is required within 72 hours of patient encounters to ensure compliance with practice standards.

Collaboration & Compliance:

  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal healthcare regulations.
  • Stay up to date with continuing education and emerging best practices in psychology and rehabilitation mental health.

Other Responsibilities

  • This role requires independent time management and self-motivation to maintain a structured schedule and meet patient care expectations.
  • Timely and accurate completion of EMR documentation is required within 72 hours of patient encounters to ensure compliance with practice standards.
  • Performance is assessed based on patient volume, documentation timeliness, and adherence to clinical and compliance standards.
  • Providers must be responsive to administrative and clinical communication inquiries, including phone and electronic communication, within a reasonable timeframe to ensure efficient patient care and operational flow.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active Clinical Psychologist License in Florida.
  • Credentialed Medicare and Medicaid (preferred)
  • Experience working with rehabilitation and/or geriatric populations, cognitive disorders, and mood disorders preferred.
  • Training in neuropsychological testing, cognitive assessment, and behavioral interventions is a plus.
  • Strong clinical documentation and EMR proficiency.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have reliable transportation to assigned site locations. Travel reimbursement is determined based on company policy.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to self-navigate through assigned site facilities during work hours.
  • May require periods of sitting, standing, bending, and lifting.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and quarterly productivity-based incentives.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and holidays for full-time employees.
  • Continuing education reimbursement to support professional growth.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage.
  • Retirement plan options.

At Thrive Behavioral Sciences, we care about you! Our Team, our approach, our support and our culture are aligned to support professional growth and the delivery of exceptional behavioral health care to those in need. Actions speak louder than words.
