SUMMARY
The Medical Office Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the medical facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the practice.
- Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are distributed, understood, and implemented by all clinic staff members.
- Ensure that all patient charts are updated, HIPAA compliant, and that proper input of demographics, procedures and payments are entered into DrChrono.
- Review scheduling and financial responsibilities with patients. Collect copays and patient balances at time of service. Review with each patient when referrals or prior authorizations must be obtained throughout care.
- Ensure proper schedule management is utilized.
- Collaborating with Providers and other Departments to develop and assess business strategies.
- Ensure clinic is meeting company targets for appointments.
- Monitoring inventory and placing orders for resupply.
- Ensure tasks are worked and completed daily.
- Interacting with patients and addressing any concerns or complaints.
- Conducts regular clinic staff meetings.
- Ensures the staff is working as a team to ensure the practice runs effectively and meets objectives.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
· 2-5 years’ experience in a medical office
· Proven work experience as a Medical Office Manager or similar role
· Previous management or supervisory experience
· Knowledge of medical software, scheduling, insurance processing and collections
· Proficient with EMR software and Practice Management software; DrChrono experience a plus
· Strong leadership skills, communication, interpersonal and organization skills
· Strong computer literacy including Microsoft 365
· Excellent organizational abilities
· Solid understanding of financial management
· Ability to sit, stand and move around for long periods of time
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's Degree preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
· Related certifications a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
