Mental Health Therapist (LMFT/LPCC) - Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time
Medical setting: Skilled Nursing & Long-Term Care Facilities
Timings:-Monday - Friday
Compensation:
- Part-Time: $35-$45/hour
- Full-Time: $70,000-$80,000 annually (with benefits)
Position Overview: We are seeking a licensed and dedicated Mental Health Therapist (LMFT or LPCC) to deliver therapeutic services within skilled nursing and long-term care settings. This role presents a rewarding opportunity to positively impact individuals dealing with complex emotional, psychological, and cognitive issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to residents' needs
- Develop and implement behavior management plans, including strategies for pain management
- Support residents with emotional adjustment to facility life, grief, and loss
- Educate and train facility staff on behavioural health best practices
- Ensure compliance with facility, state, and federal mental health regulations
- Emphasize alternatives to psychotropic medications and physical restraints
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy
- Active Ohio licensure as an LMFT or LPCC
- Deep understanding of mental health needs specific to elderly and subacute populations
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
