Futrend Technology is looking for an NIH Program Manager (NIH ORS PM) to join our team of industry leading professionals with significant upward promotion probability.
 
The NIH PM is responsible for delivery and growing our health IT, consulting, and software development work at the National Institute of Health (NIH). The NIH PM has demonstrated his/her capability managing contracts, providing vision and creating accountability among staff, and leading account growth. The NIH PM manages multiple senior and executive level customer relationships and guides the creation of customer value. The NIH PM is responsible for delivery and growth of existing programs (as both a prime and a subcontractor), and will have existing relationships, multiple GWACs, a broad NIH IDIQ, and our joint venture partner to help drive growth.
 
To excel in this roll the NIH PM will not only have a proven record of accomplishment in delivery and growth but must genuinely enjoy both. Excellence in delivery is the number one priority and the foundation of the company success.  At the same time, the right candidate will also have a growth and value creation mindset to identify opportunities and see them through from solution strategy and customer engagement through proposal and award. The work is hands-on and will require “rolling up the sleeves” to create results.
 
The NIH PM will work in a highly collaborative and transparent environment. The NIH PM is a critical position in the company’s leadership team. The PM will have the creative freedom to help shape and grow the business as well as participate in an array of company operation and strategic activities.
 
The ideal candidate will measure success in this position through outcomes, program delivery success, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement in delivery practices and team performance, financial performance, qualified pipeline and business growth.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
 
Solution Delivery
  • Manage the entire IT Services program with multiple work streams, including, but not limited to Infrastructure Management, Account Management Services, Incident Response & Troubleshooting Networking Services, Data Center Operations and Server Hosting Cloud Account Management & Hosting Application Monitoring & Hosting, Security Compliance & Vulnerability Remediation Backup & Disaster Recovery Services, Enterprise Application Platform Development & Management, Website support and development, Data Management & Integration Services, Digital Services & Automation, Onsite User Technical Support, which includes Employee Support, Computer Hardware Installation and Support Assistance, Computer Hardware Lifecycle Management, Mobile Device Management, IT Equipment User Relocation.
  • Provide leadership and vision for the managers and staff and foster an open, collaborative and accountable culture
  • Ensure that Futrend performs to meet customer’s expectations
  • Maintain personal billability as supported by projects, and create status reports and briefings as needed
People Leadership
  • Work with Futrend Recruiting to identify and hire qualified and high performing staff
  • Foster an accountable and self-motivating culture that is centered on transparency
  • Fulfill the role of manager, coach, and mentor as required
  • Follow Futrend Values setting clear expectations and provide clear feedback
  • Proactively and professionally, address issues that arise with employees both involving HR as needed acting as an advocate with headquarters staff
  • Jump in to help when there is a company need
  • Support and help maintain company certification including ISO 9001 and CMMI Level 3
Operations Management
  • Help set and meet revenue, utilization, profitability, and customer and team satisfaction goals
  • Promote and expand company capabilities in core Health IT and development capabilities as well as our leading edge solutions including intelligent automation and machine learning/deep learning.
  • Qualifications
     
  • 8+ years’ large complex federal project/program delivery ($50M+ annual or higher range), experience managing a portfolio of projects with financial and execution discipline, and proven business growth experience
  • ITIL Foundations required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in an IT field or technical field
  • PMP certification is required
  • Experience managing IT in hospital, research institution, academic environment is preferred
  • Must have hands on experience delivering IT services
  • Must have the experience and confidence to establish and maintain senior relationships and engage senior agency executives and program staff to deliver value and identify opportunities
  • Must be prepared to work hours needed and go on customer site to engage staff, develop customer relationships, and identify and close new opportunities
  • Knowledge of the Federal healthcare space is required
  • Relationship and experience in NIH HHS, it’s centers is a plus
  • Solid understanding of the Federal acquisition process and federal contracting sufficient to proactively and independently see opportunities and identify/manage risks.
