We are seeking experienced part-time College Admissions Counselors to join our team!

We are looking for part-time college counselors for high school students. Previous experience as a college counselor with former admissions officer experience at esteemed universities is essential for this position.

Shine In Math students aim to attend colleges that provide extensive opportunities in their fields of interest. The College Counselors will assist high school students through the college admissions process, including creating academic and extracurricular road maps, profile building, providing application structure and feedback, helping discover passions, and identifying career paths.

• Create customized counseling road maps for each student.
• Stay updated with college admissions processes and requirements.
• Advise students on extracurricular activities and leadership roles.
• Guide students on summer plans such as internships and research opportunities.
• Develop standardized testing plans tailored to each student.
• Create and rate personalized college lists for students.
• Assist in personal statement and resume creation, gather recommendation letters, review essays, and applications.
• Plan for early action, early decision, and regular decision timelines.
• Provide resources for financial aid and merit scholarships.
• Maintain and record student progress periodically, following the Academy's guidelines.
• Communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding student progress.

• Prior experience as an admissions officer.
• Experience as a Guidance Counselor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Master’s degree in relevant fields with counseling credentials.
• Ability to work with students over multiple years during high school.
