Provide behavior and analysis services and behavior management plans for special education students with social/emotional needs who are enrolled in the districts educational programs. Provide district-wide support and professional development/training to school staff, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians in appropriate behavior intervention techniques. Assist in the appropriate placement and educational programming of students with special needs through assessment, implementation of special education processes, consultation and direct services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide district-wide consultation and leadership to programs on educational programing and instruction, behavior intervention, special education process, and data-based decision making.

Design programming and provide case management for individual students. Maintain a consultation and direct service caseload of buildings/programs and students. Design, develop and implement behavioral supports and services rooted in ABA methodology for district staff and students. Create and assist district staff with the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans and other appropriate programs for students who present behavior/learning challenges.

Serve as a resource for information regarding laws, regulations, and procedures related to applied behavior analysis, special education, and behavior.Provides direct supervision to BCBA Manager (who provides licensure supervision to RBTs employed by the district) and graduate students pursing BCBA certification. Supervision is provided according to Behavior Analyst Certification Board requirements in order to maintain individual supervision, as well as to ensure high quality services, to improve overall program efficiency and functioning, and to provide staff evaluation per Human Resources policies.Serve as program leader for special education behavior and Autism teams including program planning, training implementation, and evaluation. Participate in the operations of the District Behavior Team and District Autism Team, including referral assignment, planning professional development, and directly handling behavior- and Autism-related referrals. Participate in referral decisions with the Special Education Leadership Team.

Support the Special Education Coordinators in coordinating, implementing, supervising, and evaluating the development of special education initiatives. Attend staff meetings and committee meetings as needed.Develop materials and provide resources for district staff using evidence-based methodologies, such as Applied Behavior Analysis, related to addressing the needs of students with Autism and other significant behavior difficulties. Coordinate staff activities and professional development/training to make program improvements and implement new efforts on a district-wide, systemic level.Provide functional behavioral assessments for individual students in accordance with Federal and State laws and regulations. Monitor and track progress to ensure positive outcomes for students.

Perform home visits for the purpose of providing direct treatment, consultation and collaboration with students and families.Collect/organize date and prepare a variety of reports for the purpose of documenting case history, assessments and treatment. Compile Special Education information into reports for parent groups and other audiences-analyzing and evaluating the data to participate in decision making for behavioral health of students in District.Collaborate with public and private agencies to offer programs that foster pro-social skills and prevent violent behavior for the purpose of providing services to strengthen families as well as students.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/administrator.Education, Training and Experience: Masters degree in behavior analysis, special education, psychology or related field. Must hold the BCBA or BCBA-D credential. Special experience and training as determined by content area.Supervisory or administrative experience preferred.Minimum five years of experience providing direct behavioral services to children ages 4-18 preferred.Possess, or be eligible for, Colorado Department of Education License with a BCBA endorsement Currently issued as an Adjunct Instructor Authorization (BCBA certificate required).

Valid Colorado drivers license.Familiar with monitoring student behaviors and progress, providing analysis of assessment results, and designing and implementing interventions using ABA methodology for students with behavioral needs. Experience providing supervision to BCBA candidates, BCaBAs, and RBTs is preferred.In-depth knowledge of content area.Advanced oral and written communication, English language, presentation/training, critical thinking, problem solving, organizational, and supervisory/management skills.Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations governing Special Education, school systems and programs including current trends in education methods for students with exceptional needs such as ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), Functional Behavior Assessment and Intervention Development, Positive Behavior Supports, Multi-tiered System of Support, Love and Logic approaches to discipline, Leveled Token Economies, and other methodologies.Knowledge of classroom management and conflict resolution. Knowledge of and experience in Professional Learning Communities.Ability to manage confidentiality in all aspects of job.Ability to promote and follow Board of Education, Superintendent, school and department policies and procedures. Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
