Job SummaryThe CSW will be assigned to Citywide Case Management Forensics Program. The CSW collaborates with criminal justice partners including Jail Behavior Health, NoVA, Behavioral Health Court and Mental Health Diversion Court as well as SFGH Psychiatric Emergency Services in working with dually diagnosed adults in the community. The CSW provides comprehensive assessment, crisis intervention, case management, individual and group therapy, and substance abuse services. Clients will receive mental health and substance abuse services at the Center or wherever they are located. The CSW assists clients in meeting their needs and will make referrals as appropriate.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. Master's degree in social work, psychology or related field from an accredited university and registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as An Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) or Intern Marriage Family Therapist (IMFT), and all requirements in the list below.CSW II:
Master's degree in social work, psychology or related field from an accredited university and possession of the requirements necessary for application for licensure as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Science, and all requirements in the list below.

Two (2) years working with severely mentally ill adults, the homeless and dual diagnosed populations.
One (1) year experience doing community-based case management and the ability to do outreach including to SRO hotels.
One (1) year experience working with individual actively involved in the criminal justice system.
Ability to obtain San Francisco County Jail Clearance through the San Francisco Sheriff's Department.
Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others. Ability to work in a high stress, high volume area and work well under pressure and with deadlines. Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately and be detailed oriented. Able to efficiently prepare written summaries of activities, set priorities and complete reports within required timeframes. Knowledge of medical and/or psychiatric terminology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work as a team member in a culturally diverse setting.
Able to lift 50lbs and climb stairs.
Demonstrated excellent attendance and reliability.
An understanding of mental health issues and sensitivity toward mental health clients.
Ability to work with clients and program staff from diverse cultural and social class backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior related UC experience.
