About Job

This position is available for full time and part time Associate Marriage and Family Therapists, Associate Clinical Social Workers, and Associate Professional Clinical Counselors. The clinician will provide services in a group private practice outpatient setting. This position is a W2 employment. This position can be fully remote or include use of our Brea clinic.

The clinician will see 15-30 client hours per week (individual, couples, family, or group therapy), referred through insurances, or with cash pay clients, and will be paid an hourly rate with pay guaranteed each payroll cycle. Clinicians are paid for direct clinical services (assessments and psychotherapy sessions). TheraCare Wellness will manage credentialing, billing, and marketing.

The clinician will be able to make their own schedule and work with the clients they want to work with. TheraCare Wellness will offer referrals for the clinician to build their caseload, but the clinician will not be required to take a referral that does not feel like a good fit for them.

The clinician will meet for two units of supervision per week, with one unit being individual supervision and the other unit of supervision being either triadic supervision or group supervision. There is no cost for supervision.

Supervision will be offered with a licensed therapist or psychologist. TheraCare has available supervisors with a range of experience working with trauma informed care, the LGBTQIA+ population, and substance use and disordered eating recovery.

Supervision will include a space for clinical consultations with the supervisor as well as other clinicians on the team, as well as training on specific diagnoses, populations, professional boundaries, therapeutic interventions and theoretical orientations, as well as support for preparing for licensure and clinical examination.

Supervision will also offer the clinician support and training to learn about appropriate documentation, such as full assessments, clinical treatment plans, assessment measures and psychotherapy progress notes.

This position will allow room for growth as once the clinician becomes licensed, they will have the opportunity to join our licensed team of clinicians and TheraCare will assist the clinician with obtaining credentialing through all major insurance companies. Once licensed, if the clinician decides to work full time (27-30 clinical hours per week), they will be offered medical, dental and vision insurance as well as 401k retirement plan.

The ideal applicant will have one year or 1000 hours towards licensure of clinical experience in a mental health setting, have a growth-oriented and strengths-based mindset, be able to give and receive feedback, have a passion for giving back to the community, and a desire to work as part of a team environment.

Experience working with community mental health is a plus but not a requirement.

Experience working with higher levels of care in the mental health field is a plus but not a requirement.

The clinician may have a specific population preference/specialization interest, but this is not a requirement.
