Adolescent Counselor – Part Time
Location: High Focus Centers – Lansdale, PA
High Focus Centers, a trusted provider of outpatient behavioral health treatment in southeastern Pennsylvania, offers comprehensive, individualized care through its specialized programs: Rehab After Work, The Light Program, and Seeds of Hope. We serve both adults and adolescents, with a focus on mental health, eating disorders, and co-occurring concerns.
We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Adolescent Counselor to join our Lansdale team. This role focuses on delivering individual therapy to adolescent clients in an outpatient setting. Position Overview
The Adolescent Counselor is responsible for:
Providing individual outpatient therapy to adolescent clients
Conducting clinical assessments and developing person-centered treatment plans
Collaborating with families, schools, and referral sources to support client progress
Monitoring behavioral and emotional needs and adjusting treatment as necessary
Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
Participating in clinical meetings and contributing to care coordination
Supporting program goals and additional clinical duties as needed
Key Competencies
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Expertise in adolescent mental health and co-occurring conditions
Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
Ability to engage teens in meaningful therapeutic work
Effective communication with families and support systems
Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations
Commitment to ethical standards and best practices in behavioral healthcare
Qualifications
Required:
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field
Preferred:
Active clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in the state of Pennsylvania
Experience providing therapy to adolescents in outpatient settings
Schedule & Work Environment
Hybrid model: opportunity to provide therapy both in-person and via telehealth
Part-time role with flexible scheduling options
Evening and/or weekend availability preferred, based on client needs
