Overview
Peer support specialists within Integrated Care and Recovery Services includes a wide range of supports to assist the program participants and their family members with mental health and/or substance use issues in the recovery process. They promote wellness, self-direction, and recovery by enhancing the skills and abilities of program participants to meet their chosen goals. They may assist by teaching daily living skills, helping participants navigate community resources, engage in meaningful daily activities such as work or school. Peer support specialists also help participants negotiate the mental health and/or substance use systems with dignity and without trauma. Peer specialists are equal members on a multidisciplinary team of professionals to promote the recovery journey of program participants. Within the Pathways Specialized Unit, peer supports will partner closely with a social worker and mental health/substance use professional to implement participant services. Service delivery will have a specialized focus of assisting program participants navigate services, transition into stable housing, and sustain their housing while also supporting participants’ mental wellness.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.72 - $25.49 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
