We are seeking to add a Full-Time or Part-Time, Child & AdolescentPsychiatrist to join our teamat Yellow Rock Behavioral Health, a leading residential treatment facility for children and adolescents in Springdale, AR. Yellow Rock Behavioral Health is unique in that we exclusively serve children with problematic sexual behaviors that are complicated by mental illness. The treatment program is designed to address both equally. This is achieved through a level-based program that requires residents to take responsibility for both general behavior problems associated with mental health illness as well as problematic sexual behaviors. Residents receive multiple treatment modalities including individual, group, family, and recreational therapy. The highly-structured program provides an environment in which our residents can learn and apply healthy coping skills, behavior management techniques, and relapse prevention tools to assist them once they successfully complete the program and reintegrate back into their community.

 

About the role:

The Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will be responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
